Roxanne Marie (Boyer) LeBlanc, 72, of Flower Mound, peacefully entered into her eternal home on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. Roxanne was born Jan. 31, 1953, in Eunice, the firstborn of Francis H. (Buttons) Boyer and Ruth Elaine (Blanchard) Boyer. She grew up in DeQuincy, graduating from DeQuincy High School in 1971, and obtaining her bachelor’s degree in education from Northeast Louisiana University in 1975.
After her graduation from Northeast, Roxanne married the love of her life, John Thaddeus (Thad) LeBlanc on June 6, 1975, shortly before he entered service in the United States Air Force. Throughout his career in the Air Force and later at Delta Air Lines, she was a devoted and faithful wife, confidant, and helpmeet for Thad, and was a devoted mother to their two children, Matt and Aimee. Thad often referred to her as his “First Sergeant” and knew that she would keep the home together while he had to be away on flying duties. Throughout their almost 50 years of marriage, Thad and Roxanne’s love and commitment to each other remained strong, and they were a shining example of God’s design for marriage.
Roxanne enjoyed gardening, traveling, and reading, but her greatest passion in life was her love for God, her family, and her friends. She relished her role as “Maw Maw” and doted on her grandchildren. Her love for them was evident in the servant’s life that she led, putting others’ needs above her own and demonstrating through her actions the type of Christian lifestyle described by her Savior in Matthew 20:26.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Annabelle.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Thad; her children, Matt LeBlanc (wife, Tiffany) and Aimee LeBlanc Santillan (husband, Ramon); her grandchildren, Cole, Rob, Laney, Sophie, and Ramon; her brothers, Lonnie Boyer (wife, Debbie), Duane Boyer (wife, Lisa), and Blake Boyer (wife, Cathy); her sister-at-heart, Liz Dupre; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at the Lewisville church of Christ, located at 901 College Pkwy, Lewisville, Texas, followed by her interment at 2 p.m. at the DFW National Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Roxanne’s memory.
