Lynda Sue Gilland, 74, was born Jan. 9, 1951, to Bobby Gilland and Marion June Woy, and passed away Saturday, Mar. 1, 2025.
She lived a life richly blessed with many, many friends. Her earthly journey has ended, and we will meet her again where God has a beautiful paradise waiting for us.
She is survived by her son, Eric Brian Gilland Woy; siblings, John Gilland, Nancy Gilland DeVille and husband David, Sandra Woy, and Leah Gross and husband Kevin; a host of nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Summer, Junie, Lil’ Lah and Molly.
She was preceded in death her daughter, Felicia Erin Gilland; father, Bobby Eugene Gilland; mother, Marion June Woy; stepmother, Elaine Gilland; siblings, Karen Gilland Ciuffetelli, Stephen Gilland, and Debra Parks; sister-in-law, Wanda Gilland; and nephews, Michael Suchanek and Mark Anthony Weber.
Lynda left behind a special thank you to her niece, Jill Suchanek Parker, for everything she had done to help her and all the love they shared. A special thank you to Kenneth Chapman for taking care of her, reading Bible scriptures, and doing Bible lessons that helped her learn so much.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, Mar. 3, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment to follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
