DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce held their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Heritage Place Hotel & Suites meeting room. Lunch was provided by Steadham Flooring Company. There were 30 members in attendance.
Sheriff Stitch Guillory was the guest speaker. The sheriff spoke on the importance of reporting suspicious activity and warned of several scams circulating in our area. He warned to not give money over the phone to anyone saying they are with the sheriff’s department; if you are not sure, he cautioned to please contact the sheriff’s department directly.
December Meeting
Instead of having December’s regular meeting, members are invited to meet for dinner at Coconuts Cajun Grill for a Dutch Treat Social on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m.
