Natalie Jordan has been named as Starks High School’s 2024 Teacher of the Year.
Jordan has been teaching English at Starks for the past ten years. In addition to English, she has taught Speech, AP Psychology, and Reading Intervention. She also has certifications to teach AP U.S History and Pre-AP English. She graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
She attributes her love for literature to growing up at the local branch of the DeQuincy public library and listening to her mother read aloud to her and her brothers every night.
Jordan lives in DeQuincy with her husband Bobb. They have one son, Paul Jordan. Together they attend Bible Baptist Church. She spends her free time outdoors with her family, hunting at the river, fishing on the boat, or riding their horses.
