Corliss Lynn Powell, 74, died Monday, Nov.11, 2024 at her home in Merryville. She was born in Jasper, Texas.
Graveside service was held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Meadow’s Cemetery, Rev. Jason Fortenberry officiated under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
A lifelong caregiver, she worked as an LPN, dedicating countless years to helping others until her retirement.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Hailea Hammond of DeRidder, sister, Shelia Jones of Merryville, and brother, Stan and wife Laura Jeans of Singer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Powell Hammond; and parents, Dick and Verline Jeans.
