?ORDINANCE NO. 953-B
THE MAYOR and Council of the City of DeQuincy, State of Louisiana, met in regular session on the 9th day of September, 2024, and adopted the following Ordinance amending Ordinance Number 953, being the Budget of Revenue and Expenditures for the General Fund, the Public Safety Fund, and the Sales Tax/Street Fund for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2023 and ending September 30, 2024. WHEREAS, it appears to the Mayor that the General Fund, Street Fund and Public Safety Fund will receive less revenue and incur less expenses than originally expected. WHEREAS, the Mayor has submitted a revision to the City Council in order to stay within the 5% budgeted projections; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of DeQuincy that the Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024 is hereby amended as follows:

REVENUES; FEMA REIMBURSEMENT; Decrease By; 1,990,000.00; 10,000.00 CR.
EXPENDITURES: CAPITAL OUTLAY: Decrease By, 1,000,000.00, 1,000,000.00 DR.
TRANSFERS; TRANSFERS IN, Decrease By, 265,000.00, 0.00 CR,
TRANSFERS OUT; Increase By, 100,000.00, 1,452,220.00 DR.
PUBLIC SAFETY FUND:
REVENUES; PD GRANTS; Decrease By; 20,000.00; 0.00 CR.
EXPENDITURES: CAPITAL OUT – FD; Increase By; 50,000.00; 100,000.00 DR. FIREFIGHTER PAY – FD; Increase By; 20,000.00; 65,000.00 DR. SALARIES – PD; Increase; By 150,000.00; 880,000.00 DR. AUTO LEASE – PD; Increase By 100,000.00; 100,000.00 DR. POLICE RETIREMENT – PD; Increase By; 16,000.00; 181,000.00 DR. TRANSFERS: TRANSFERS IN; Decrease By; 550,000.00; 760,220.00 CR.
STREET FUND:
REVENUES; GRANT REVENUE; Decrease By; 55,000.00; 0.00 CR.
EXPENDITURES; SALARIES; Increase By 20,000.00 ; 220,000.00 DR.
CAPITAL OUTLAY: Increase By; 50,000.00 ; 200,000.00 DR.
TRANSFERS: TRANSFERS OUT; Increase By; 60,000.00; 70,000.00 DR.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City Council that should any court of competent jurisdiction declare any section, clause or provision of this Ordinance invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than the part or parts declared to be invalid. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with any of the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
