ORDINANCE ENTERING INTO AND AUTHORIZING MAYOR SMITH TO EXCUTE SOLID WASTE CONTRACT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Dequincy, Louisiana, the governing authority thereof, that they do hereby authorize Mayor Riley Smith to enter into and execute a solid waste contract with Waste Management commencing October 1, 2024.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall become effective upon the Mayor’s signature, or upon proper re-adoption by the Council pursuant to Section 2-13 (C) of the Home Rule Charter of the City of DeQuincy.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 12th day of August, 2024, by notice of Public Hearing having been published on the 4th day of September, 2024, said Public Hearing having been held, title having been read and Ordinance considered, on motion by Margaret Brown___, seconded by Cameron Smith to adopt the Ordinance. A record vote was taken, and the following result was had:

ABSENT: 0
This Ordinance was declared duly adopted this 9th day of September, 2024 and will be effective immediately.
