Mark Reed and Twisted X to close out Railroad Festival

Mark Reeves and Twisted X will close out the night Saturday, Apr. 13, from 9-10:30 p.m on the Main Stage during the 41st Louisiana Railroad Days Festival.

Reeves grew up in a small town called Ragley. After he graduated high school in 1994, he started playing the guitar and writing songs. Throughout the years he played with different bands but nothing serious, until now. This band has been together over 12 years now and going strong.

Mark met his wife Gayla in 2011. They have made their home in Carlyss.

They both love their music and together they are the Mark Reeves and Twisted X band. Mark plays rhythm guitar/lead vocals/harmonies and Gayla sings lead vocals/harmonies/rub-board. They of course couldn’t do it with out the rest of the guys in the band:

Dennis Duhon from Lake Charles – Electric guitar/vocals/harmonies, Jason Breaux from Lake Charles – Bass guitar/vocals/harmonies, Rodney Mitchell from DeQuincy – Drums/vocals/harmonies, Tracey Matt Breaux from Lake Charles – Equipment Mgr.

They are like one big family.

They play big venues, big and small bars, benefits, festivals, private functions, weddings and casinos. They really take pride in their music/shows and love their fans.

Reeves released his first single in September of 2014 called “Miss You Baby” off of his first CD – “Looks Like Country To Me and also released his first music video on You Tube for this song. The song is doing really good and has been played all over the world.

They also released their 2nd single in early May 2015. That single is called “Looks Like Country to Me”. Mark also released his second music video for this single.

They just released their new single “Your Love” Oct. 31, 2023 and it seems to be doing well.

With this group you never know what to expect, they add a little bit extra to their shows and you never know what they’re gonna do next. If you haven’t had the pleasure of catching one of their shows, make sure and add that to your bucket list. These guys are Entertainment at its best.

They are a five piece, sometimes six piece band and play a variety of music – Traditional Country, Country, Texas Country, Southern Rock, Swamp Pop, Soft Rock, and a tad bit of Zydeco.

Their words: “We are looking forward to many more opportunities to do what we love.”
