Frank H. Ramirez, Sr., affectionately known as Rico, was born Mar. 16, 1956, and passed away Sunday, Mar. 3, 2024, at the age of 67. Frank proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles. Most of all Frank loved his grandchildren and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Pamala January; children, Byron Ramirez and wife Mona, Frank Ramirez Jr. and wife Tameka, Jasmine Mosely and husband Freddie, Shermaine Ramirez, Keokaland Hayes and husband Matthew, Jermaine January, and Christopher Mouton; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony Ramirez and wife Julia, Jerry Ramirez and wife Anita, and Terry Ramirez; god-daughter, Shalanda Broussard; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shendrika White; parents, Joseph and Amy Ramirez; brothers, Bennie Ramirez and Lupe Ramirez; sisters, Geneva Ramirez and Sherry Ramirez.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 9, at Starlight Baptist Church, 1523 Fourth Ave, Lake Charles.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
