The Annual DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce Banquet is set for Thursday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. at the T. D. Cardwell Center. Tickets will soon be available for purchase at $30 each.
Nominations for the Annual Civic Service Award are now being accepted. Any club, organization, church or individual may submit a nomination. The individual nominated must be a resident of DeQuincy, must have contributed a service to benefit the residents of DeQuincy and must not have received any compensation for the service. Letters of nomination should contain no more than 250 words. These letters should be sent to DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce at P. O. Box 625, DeQuincy LA 70633 or brought to the Chamber office located 218 E 4th St. on Mondays or Wednesdays until 12 noon those days.
The deadline for nominations is 12 noon on Monday, Feb. 12. Also the person sending a nomination must furnish a ticket for their nominee.
