Frank Bergeron, Jr.

Frank Bergeron, Jr., was born Dec. 6, 1922, and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at the age of 100. Frank proudly served in the United States Army in World War II. One of his battles was Normandy Northern France Ardennes Rhineland. Frank was a faithful member of the Deweyville United Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed fishing and especially gardening. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Bergeron; daughters, Myra Bergeron Price and Courtney Cook; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Bergeron and FL “Joe” Bergeron; numerous nieces and nephews; along with Robbie Kingery who was like a son.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Bergeron, Sr. and Vivian Marie Bergeron; sisters, Bernice Marie Blanchette, Hortense LeBlanc, Hazel Premeaux, and Artie Bonzall; and brothers, Dexter Bergeron, Claude Bergeron, Edwin Bergeron, Lennis Bergeron, and Elafay Bergeron.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Deweyville United Pentecostal Church, 827 County Road 4156, Deweyville, Texas. Pastor Michael Orange will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange, Texas.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
