?CITY COUNCIL July 20,2023 DeQuincy, LA
The City Council of the City of DeQuincy met in special session on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at the DeQuincy City Hall, 300 N. Holly Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana, with the following members present: Scott Wylie, Jim Smith, Eddy Dahlquist, Margaret Brown, and Cameron Smith. Absent: None.
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by Eddy Dahlquist and the roll was called with the above result.
During public input, Kelly Menou spoke about the Farmers Market becoming a festival and answered questions from the council.
No other public input or comments.
A motion was made by Scott Wylie and seconded by Margaret Brown to approve to adopt a
resolution to authorize acceptance of an Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Grant and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Scott Wylie, Jim Smith, Eddy Dahlquist, Margaret Brown, and
Cameron Smith. Nays: None. Abstain: None.
A motion was made by Margaret Brown and seconded by Cameron Smith to approve to adopt a
resolution to authorize Mayor Smith to sign a letter for Legacy Made LLC to have permission to be declared a public festival. Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Scott Wylie, Jim Smith, Eddy Dahlquist, Margaret Brown, and Cameron Smith. Nays: None. Abstain: None.
There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Margaret Brown and
seconded by Cameron Smith to adjourn the meeting.
