Makin’ Groceries Mobile Market was held Saturday, July 15, at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum Park.
Nutritious food at affordable prices along with free health services were available.
The mobile market provided by Second Harvest Food Bank; was sponsored by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury – Human Services Department. Other agencies that showed up in the community to volunteer were DeQuincy City Hall employees, The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, Entergy, members of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury – Summer Feeding Program, Catholic Charities, and DeQuincy’s Police Juror Roger Marcantel.
