Funeral services for Virginia F. Coleman, 86, of Houston, formerly of Longville, were held Saturday, May 13, 2023, with Kenneth Coleman officiating at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Burial followed in the Memorial Church Cemetery in Longville.
She was born in Los Ebanos, Texas. She passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
She graduated from Longville High School in 1954, where she lettered all four years in Volleyball and Basketball.
She attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette where she began her Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. She completed her degree in Houston. She worked as an accountant for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron Mitchell and Eunice Faye Rouse Coleman.
Survivors include her siblings, Elizabeth Dickerson of DeQuincy, Verna Jones of Longville, Joyce Alston of Little Elm, Texas, Iva Parkinson of Corpus Christi, Texas and Kenneth Coleman of DeRidder.
