Robert “Bobby” Windham, Sr., was born Jan. 10, 1935, and passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the age of 88. Bobby was a faithful member of the First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy and served the church in many, many ways.
He is survived by his children, Rhonda Scarpulla and husband, Tony, Kathy Abdalla and husband, David, Susie Fontenot and husband, Wade, Robert “Buddy” Windham and wife, Jessica, and Mary Cooper and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Becky Guerin and husband, David, Tabitha Scarpulla, Devin Abdalla, Dillon Abdalla, Alyssa Fontenot, Braeden Fontenot, Erin Windham, Josh Windham, Bryce Hollie and husband, Kaleb, and Jake Cooper; great-grandchildren, Jamison Guerin, Jared Guerin, Tyler Young, Stevie Abdalla, and Blayke Hollie; siblings, Martha Abdel, Edith Wise and husband, David, and Gale Dooley and wife, Rhonda; and his beloved dog, Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Windham; daughter, Vickie Windham; grandson, Daniel Young; parents, Sam and Mary Windham; and siblings, Ernest Windham, Beth Windham, Revanel Parker, and Jason Windham.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Harbor Hospice and to their cousin (sister), Donna Torres, who gave special attention and care to her beloved Uncle Bobby.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. with the funeral service following at p.m., on Tuesday, May 16, at First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, 230 Smith St., DeQuincy. A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, at First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. Pastor Carlton Jackson, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
