Local athletes from area high schools competed last week at the LHSAA state track meet held at LSU Bernie Moore Track.
Medal winners are as follows:
Singer
Cheyenne Shultz took home Third in the girls pole vault with a 6 foot 11.75 inch vault.
South Beauregard
Kenzie Hudler State Champion in the girls discus. With a throw of 120 foot 11 inches.
Seth Smith State Champion in the boys Discus with a throw of 162 foot 3 inches. Which was a school record.
Trinity Spooner State Champion in the girls Javelin with a throw of 156 foot and 6 inches.
Jess Shuff 2nd in 300 meter hurdles with a time of 39.52
Starks
Madelyn Nolen State Champion in the girls 100 meter dash with a time of 13.56
Hazel Heffron 2nd in the girls High jump with a jump of 4 foot 11 3/4 inches.
Starks 4 x 100 meter team of Howard, Heffron, Holloway and Nolen took the Bronze with a 3rd place finish.
Hazel Heffron with a 2nd place finish in the girls 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.88
Madelyn Nolen 2nd place girls 200 meter dash with a time of 27.64.
Landon Smith boys javelin 2nd place with a throw of 113 foot 1 inch.
