DeQuincy vs. Grand Lake

The DeQuincy Tigers built a five-run lead in the first inning and then held off Grand Lakes charge for a 5-4 victory on Tuesday. Grand Lake scored four runs in the failed comeback.

Grand Lake scored three runs in the second inning, but DeQuincy still managed to pull out the victory. Grand Lake scored its runs on a single by Guillotte.

DeQuincy got things started in the first inning when Andrew Dowden singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Sammy Maddox earned the win for DeQuincy. The righty went six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out five. Turner Rodriquez threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Tanner Benoit was on the pitcher’s mound for Grand Lake. The righty lasted two innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out one. Gavin Walker threw five innings in relief.

Rodriquez went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead DeQuincy in hits.

DeQuincy vs. Vinton

DeQuincy takes victory over Vinton on Thursday to the tune of 6-2.

Carson Rainwater was on the mound for DeQuincy. The righthander allowed four hits and two runs over five and a third innings, striking out nine.

Hadley Warner led things off on the hill for the Vinton Lions. The pitcher went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and striking out five. Gage Guidry threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

DeQuincy scattered nine hits in the game. Sammy Maddox, Reese Ashworth, and Jace Puryear each collected two hits for DeQuincy.

DeQuincy vs. Bell City

Both teams were strong on the mound Monday, but DeQuincy defeated the Bell City Bruins 3-1. Reese Ashworth allowed just two hits to Bell City.

Ashworth was the winning pitcher for DeQuincy. Ashworth allowed two hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking zero.

Grayson Johnson led things off on the hill for Bell City. The pitcher went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out seven and walking one. Gabe Caillier threw three innings in relief.

Jace Puryear, Carson Rainwater, Ashworth, and Sammy Maddox each collected one hit to lead DeQuincy.
