DeQuincy’s Cooper Hext has been having himself quite a year in baseball for the McNeese State University Cowboys. After working hard Hext broke into the starting lineup at the start of this year.
The Junior at McNeese is seeing the ball well with a batting average of .297.
Hext is second on the team He is the team leader in homeruns with five, also leads the team in triples with five. He has scored a team leading 37 runs scored.
He is second in a few categories on the team in slugging percentage at .534, hits at 44, RBIs at 30 and he has hit 10 doubles.
He also has 11 stolen bases.
Defensively Hext leads the team with 59 put outs committing no errors with a fielding percentage of 1.000.
