DeQuincy vs. Grand Lake

A walk-off error led the DeQuincy Tigers past Grand Lake 3-2 on Thursday. The game was tied at two with DeQuincy batting in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run for DeQuincy.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Reese Ashworth struck out 14, while Grand Lake pitchers sat down eight.

Grand Lake got things moving in the first inning. Connor Guillotte drove in one when he tripled.

Ashworth pitched DeQuincy to victory. The pitcher lasted eight innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out 14 and walking one.

Luke Davis took the loss for Grand Lake. The pitcher went one-third of an inning, allowing one run on one hit and walking no one.

Garrett Walker started the game for Grand Lake. Walker lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out eight

Ashworth, Matthew VanSlyke, Quentin Pharris, Carson Rainwater, and Turner Rodriquez each collected one hit to lead DeQuincy.

DeQuincy vs. Welsh

Tuesday’s game against Welsh was a heartbreaker for DeQuincy, as they lost the lead late in a 4-2 defeat. The game was tied at two with Welsh batting in the bottom of the sixth when J. Janise tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the first inning, DeQuincy got their offense started when an error scored one run for the Tigers.
Carson Rainwater took the loss for DeQuincy. The righty went six innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out ten.

Sammy Maddox, Diron Valentine, and Rainwater each managed one hit to lead DeQuincy at the plate.

DeQuincy vs. East Beauregard

Carson Rainwater was brilliant on the hill on Monday, as Rainwater threw a no-hitter to lead DeQuincy past East Beauregard Varsity Trojans 10-0.

DeQuincy got things moving in the first inning, when Rainwater’s sac fly scored one run for DeQuincy Tigers.

DeQuincy notched four runs in the second inning. DeQuincy scored its runs on an RBI grand slam by Reese Ashworth.

Rainwater led the Tigersto victory on the mound. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking none.

DeQuincy smacked one home run on the day. Ashworth went for the long ball in the second inning.

DeQuincy saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Turner Rodriquez and Andrew Dowden both managed multiple hits for DeQuincy Tigers. Rodriquez led the way going 3-for-3 at the plate to lead DeQuincy in hits.

DeQuincy vs. Vinton

Reese Ashworth was brilliant on the hill on Tuesday, as Ashworth threw a no-hitter to lead DeQuincy past Vinton Lions 8-0.

DeQuincy secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Keagan Carter, Turner Rodriquez, and Ashworth all drove in runs in the frame.

DeQuincy got things started in the first inning. Sammy Maddox drove in two when he hit a home run.

DeQuincy notched six runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Carter, a sac fly by Rodriquez, and a home run by Ashworth.

Ashworth was on the pitcher’s mound for DeQuincy Tigers. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out ten.

Gage Guidry led things off on the mound for Vinton Lions. The hurler surrendered six runs on two hits over three innings, striking out four. Zander Paladino threw three innings out of the bullpen.

DeQuincy had two home runs on the day. Ashworth went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Maddox had a four bagger in the first inning.

Maddox led DeQuincy with two hits in three at bats. DeQuincy didn’t commit a single error in the field. Andrew Dowden had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

DeQuincy vs. Notre Dame

DeQuincy fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to Notre Dame Pioneers on Thursday. Notre Dame took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Tigers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Notre Dame giving up nine runs.

Notre Dame fired up the offense in the first inning, when Andrew Abshire singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

A single by Reese Ashworth in the first inning was a positive for DeQuincy.

Sam Bernard led the Notre Dame Varsity Pioneers to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The righthander went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out three. Drew LeJeune threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Sammy Maddox took the loss for DeQuincy. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out five.

Maddox went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead DeQuincy in hits.

DeQuincy vs. Anacoco

DeQuincy nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over the Anacoco Indians on Monday. The game was tied at three with DeQuincy batting in the bottom of the sixth when a sacrifice bunt by Keagan Carter scored one run for the Tigers.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, DeQuincy tied things up at three. An error scored one run for DeQuincy.
Carson Rainwater led things off on the pitcher’s mound for DeQuincy. The pitcher lasted one-third of an inning, allowing no hits and one run.

Quentin Pharris, Turner Rodriquez, and Rainwater all had one hit to lead the Tigers.
