DeQuincy vs. Notre Dame

DeQuincy fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 15-2 loss to Notre Dame on Tuesday.

The DeQuincy Tigers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Notre Dame, giving up 15 runs.

Turner Rodriquez took the loss for DeQuincy. The righty went one inning, allowing three runs on three hits.

DeQuincy smacked two homeruns on the day. Reese Ashworth had a long ball in the first and third innings.

Ashworth went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead DeQuincy in hits.

DeQuincy vs. Lake Arthur

DeQuincy coasted to an easy victory over Lake Arthur 13-3 on Thursday.

DeQuincy got things moving in the first inning. Carson Rainwater grounded out, scoring one run.

DeQuincy scored four runs in the sixth inning. Andrew Dowden, Rainwater, and Rahley Royer all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Rainwater earned the win for DeQuincy. The righty went five and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out five. Sammy Maddox and Reese Ashworth entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cason Conner took the loss for Lake Arthur. The hurler went five and a third innings, allowing ten runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one.

DeQuincy tallied 11 hits. Ashworth, Quentin Pharris, Rainwater, and Royer each collected multiple hits for DeQuincy.

Ashworth led the Tigers with three hits in five at bats. DeQuincy tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Hayz Hext led the way with five.

Warner Levy went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lake Arthur in hits.

DeQuincy vs. Sacred Heart

DeQuincy lost the lead late in a 6-3 defeat to Sacred Heart on Friday.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, DeQuincy tied things up at three. Reese Ashworth drove in one when Ashworth tripled.

Ashworth took the loss for DeQuincy. The pitcher allowed ten hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out ten and walking one.

Carson Rainwater, Turner Rodriquez, Sammy Maddox, Ashworth, Quentin Pharris, and Andrew Dowden each managed one hit to lead the Tigers.

DeQuincy vs. Singer

Turner Rodriquez shut down Singer, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the DeQuincy Tigers to a 12-0 victory on Saturday.

DeQuincy got things moving in the first inning, when Quentin Pharris doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

DeQuincy notched six runs in the fourth inning. Andrew Dowden, Carson Rainwater, Rahley Royer, and Matthew VanSlyke each had RBIs in the frame.

One bright spot for Singer was a double by Caston Perkins in the fourth inning.

Rodriquez was the winning pitcher for DeQuincy. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Dylan Conner took the loss for Singer. The bulldog went five innings, allowing 12 runs on 11 hits and striking out seven.

DeQuincy racked up 11 hits in the game. Dowden and Sammy Maddox both managed multiple hits.

Dowden led DeQuincy with three hits in four at bats. DeQuincy didn’t commit a single error in the field.

Dowden had eight chances in the field, the most on the team. DeQuincy stole seven bases during the game, Pharris led the way with two.

Caston Perkins went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Singer in hits.
