?NOTICE is hereby given in compliance with La. R.S. 42:19., that the governing authority of Fire Protection District No. 1 of Ward 6 of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, will meet in open and public session on Wednesday, the 12th day of April, 2023 at 7 p.m., at 108 Marcantel Road, DeQuincy, Louisiana, to consider calling an election to be held on October 14, 2023 in Fire Protection District No. 1 of Ward 6, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, to authorize the levy and collection of an ad valorem tax of 9.95 mills in lieu of 3 mills previously levied for the purpose of acquiring buildings, machinery and equipment, including both real and personal property, purchasing fire trucks and other fire fighting equipment to be used in giving fire protection to the property within the District.
