Woodard named DHS Head Football Coach

DeQuincy High School has named Tate Woodard as the DeQuincy Tigers head football coach. Woodard has most recently served as the Tigers offensive coordinator and assistant baseball coach, beginning in 2014.

Woodard has previously served as a student assistant coach at DeQuincy High and an assistant football and baseball coach at Westlake High.

He graduated from DeQuincy High in 2006 and holds a bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University.

While a student at McNeese State, he played for the Southland Conference championship-winning Cowboys football team.

Woodard lives in DeQuincy, where he and his wife, Tiona, raise their three children.
