Joseph Edward Bickford was born to Ova and Zelma Bickford in Crowder, Okla. on Jan. 22, 1929.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia, in 2014, his sister Onita Angst, and his parents.
He is survived by daughters Charlotte Gressett, Pauline Diane Bickford (son-in-law Richard Tierney); grandson, Jimmy Gressett, Jr., sister-in-law, Patsy Wiggins; a host of nieces and nephews; and so many wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Abundant Life Church. Pastor Dave Stovall and Rev. Russell Hayes will be officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, at Brookeside Memorial Park.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
