Hardy Dewayne Dyson was born Sept. 15, 1960, and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at the age of 62. He enjoyed fishing, mud riding, karaoke, and country music. He worked for Union Pacific for 15+ years. Hardy was a loving, caring, and generous man. He loved his family and friends more than anything. He wanted what was best for his loved ones and he found joy in their happiness.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Bertrand Dyson; children, Brandi Courville and husband, Justin, Brittney Deal and husband, Cody, Bryan Dyson and wife, Courtney, Katy Edgerton, Tyler Burleson, and Hunter Burleson and wife, Lauren; grandchildren, Maci, Kaitlyn, Avery, Kale, Kanin, Kenner, Kam, Layla, Skyla, and Hallie; sisters, Linda Dyson Cooper and Dorothy Vercher; and brothers, Cecil Dyson and Rafil Burgess, Jr. and wife, Jerrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Dyson, and Rafil and Letha Burgess; brother, Jim Burgess; and sister, Lucy Scott.
The family received friends from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Jimmy Clark officiated.
