Elijah Lane Pierce was born Mar. 7, 2021, and passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at the age of 1.
He is survived by his parents, Jesse and Taylor Pierce; siblings, Braxton, Lucas, and Scout; grandparents, Avery Pierce, Jr., Dawn Leleux, Kirby Stanley, Aimee Doan, and Angela Windham; and great-grandparents, Alvin Leleux and wife, Sandra, and Dottie Robinson.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, at First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, at First United Pentecostal Church, 230 Smith Street, DeQuincy. Pastor Carlton Jackson, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St.
