Pauline Whitman Gore was born Sept. 1, 1923, and passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at the age of 99.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Holcombe and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Trent Day and wife, Rhonda of Midland, Texas and Laura Day Wells of Charlotte, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Matt, Hunter, Katie, and Courtney; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Gore.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 20, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Pastor Dwayne Hyatt of Temple Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will be at Brushy Creek Cemetery in Merryville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Temple Baptist Church, 310 Leblanc St., DeQuincy LA 70633, building fund.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th St., DeQuincy.
