Diana Wagner

Diana Jean Perkins Wagner, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022.

Diana was born in Urbana, Ill. on June 27, 1951. Diana grew up in a military home and would later join the United States Navy in 1972. God surely had a plan in place when she joined as this is where she would later meet her husband of over 50 years, Dale. Diana was blessed with two daughters, Tabitha and Melanie, whom she was fortunate to stay at home and raise.

Diana was a lady of great faith. She had a passion for teaching the scripture by way of singing. Diana effectively taught many children to memorize the scripture through song. The effects of her ministry will only be known by God, as the scripture songs are still being sung today.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Wagner; daughters, Tabitha Griffin and husband, Kevin and Melanie Foreman and husband, Corey; grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah, Thaddeus, Slade, Whitney, Ava, and Jacob; brother, Kenneth Perkins and wife, Shirley; and sister, Donna Laughlin and husband, Joe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice Perkins.

The Wagner Family would like to extend a special thank you to Janet Abrego, Sharla Weldon, and Karen O’Connor for their kindness and love for Diana during her final days.

The family received friends from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, at North Orange Pentecostal Church. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 12, at North Orange Pentecostal Church. Interment followed at Jett Cemetery in Orange, Texas.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th St., DeQuincy.
