Alice Marie Hyatt Johnson, was born on Mar. 27, 1941, and passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at the age of 81. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing and camping. Marie also loved to spend time talking on the phone, and she enjoyed watching television, as well as spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, C. J. Johnson; children, Teresa Stewart and husband, Larry, Cathy Gross and husband, Lenny, and Anita Marie Doyle; grandchildren, Charlie Johnson, Carlton “BB” Johnson, Jr., Mark Aaron Johnson, Clayton Johnson, David Johnson, Danny Lynn Johnson, Brittany Gonzalez, Bobby Stewart, April Serrano, Summer Daughtery, Robert Paul Daughtery, Christopher Chandler, Ty Chandler, Whitney Walker, Cassidy Doyle; along with 23 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her children, Carlton Wayne Johnson, Sr., Mary Denise Daughtery and Lisa Lee Chandler; parents, Nathaniel and Ruby Hyatt; brothers, Nathan Hyatt, J. V. Hyatt, Horace Hyatt, Johnny Hyatt, and Virgil Hyatt; sisters, Evelyn Degalormo, Laverne Alston, Jenny Lee Showalter, Nina Simon and Vera Mae Johnson.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, and the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Calvary Apostolic Church, 4270 Hwy 12, Starks. Pastor Jeremy Shields will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
