The City Council of the City of DeQuincy met in special session on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 4:45 p.m., at the DeQuincy City Hall, 300 N. Holly Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana, with the following members present: Margaret Brown, Judy Landry, Denise Maddox, and Ronda Jacobs. Absent: Mark Peloquin.
The meeting was called to order at 4:50 p.m. by Denise Maddox and the roll was called with the above result.There was no public comment.
Humberto Deleon did not appear at the meeting and after a lengthy discussion regarding his request for a variance to allow him to put a mobile home on his property to live in, on a part-time basis only, at 406 Hereford Street, a motion was made by Ronda Jacobs and seconded by July Landry to deny his request due to the fact he would not be living in the mobile home full time. Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Margaret Brown, Judy Landry, Denise Maddox, and Ronda Jacobs. Nays: None. Absent: Mark Peloquin. Abstain: None.
There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Ronda Jacobs
and seconded Margaret Brown to adjourn the meeting.
