James “J.W.” Hollie was born on Jan. 3, 1983, and passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the age of 39.
He is survived by his son, Caden Hollie; parents, Danny and Deborah Hollie; sisters, Shondra Hyatt and husband, Marcem, and Summer White; brother, Daniel Hollie; nephews, Hunter White, Taylor White, and Kenneth Jones and wife, Madison; niece, Skylar Burnett and husband, Devin; and grandmother, Sharon “Rooney” Hagar.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alivia Hollie; grandparents, James Franklin Hagar and Myrna Ashworth, and Madge and Floyd Hollie.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at First Pentecostal Church, Starks. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, at First Pentecostal Church, Starks. Pastor Karl Smith will be officiating. Interment to follow at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements will be handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
