DeQuincy softball finishes regular season

DeQuincy vs. Kinder

Early lead for Kinder seals fate for DeQuincy Lady Tigers. DeQuincy fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-1 loss to Kinder on Tuesday. Kinder scored on an passed ball during Richard’s at bat and a home run by Fuselier in the second inning.

DeQuincy got on the board in the first inning when Baileigh Kellogg tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Gabrielle Lafferty took the loss for DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity. The righthander went seven innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Kinder socked three home runs on the day. Richard had a dinger in the seventh inning. Fuselier had a homer in the second and fourth innings.

DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity racked up eight hits. Kellogg, Adah Doucet, and Katie Willis each had 2 hits for DeQuincy.

DeQuincy vs. Vinton

DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity takes victory over Vinton in a high-scoring affair 14-6.

The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where DeQuincy came out on top against Vinton 14-6.

Vinton got things moving in the first inning. Harvey tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Baileigh Kellogg grounded out, scoring one run and Raeleigh Granger homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

DeQuincy put up five runs in the seventh inning. DeQuincy’s big bats were led by Kellogg, Granger, Katie Willis, and Sarah Morvant, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Gabrielle Lafferty took the win for the DeQuincy Lady Tigers The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out six.

DeQuincy hit one home run on the day. Granger hit it in the fourth inning.

DeQuincy tallied 14 hits in the game. Adah Doucet had 4 hits, and Lafferty, Hannah Jefferson, and Granger all managed at least 2 hits each for DeQuincy.

The DeQuincy Lady Tigers did not commit a single error in the field. Doucet had the most chances in the field with six.
