Singer vs. LaGrange

Five RBI Day For Tate Hess brings win for Singer Hornets over LaGrange.

Singer defeated LaGrange 17-6 on Monday thanks in part to Tate Hess, who drove in five runners. Hess drove in a run and stole a base in the second, a home run in the fourth, and a home run in the sixth.
Singer fired up the offense in the first inning, when Dylan Conner doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Singer notched five runs in the sixth inning. Gavin Wright, Caston Perkins, and Hess each had RBIs in the big inning.

Conner was on the pitcher’s mound for Singer. The pitcher surrendered six runs on six hits over four innings, striking out seven.

Singer hit two home run on the day. Hess had both of them on long balls in the fourth and sixth innings.
Singer racked up 15 hits. Wright, Perkins, Hess each collected 3 hits on the day while Kolton Royer had 2 hits.

Singer was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Perkins made the most plays with 11.

Singer tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Royer led the way with four.

Singer vs. Anacoco

Anacoco captures lead early to defeat Singer Hornets 9-1.

Singer Hornets Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-1 loss to Anacoco on Tuesday. Anacoco took the lead on a double in the first inning.

Singer struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Anacoco, giving up nine runs.

Caston Perkins started the game for Singer. The pitcher allowed 11 hits and nine runs over five and a third innings, striking out two and walking one. Braydon Easley threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Singer hit one home run on the day. Easley had a long ball in the fourth inning.

Easley, Dylan Conner, Perkins, and Kolton Royer each managed one hit to lead Singer.

Singer vs. Anacoco

With Tate Hess on the Mound, Singer shuts out Anacoco 3-0.

Tate Hess shut down Anacoco, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Singer to a 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Hess led things off on the mound for Singer. The righty allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 17.

Singer tallied one home run on the day as Gavin Wright had a homer in the fifth inning.

Braydon Easley, Dylan Conner, Caston Perkins, and Wright each collected one hit to lead Singer Hornets Varsity.
