Conley Bret “Chip” Marcantel, a resident of Orange, Texas, was born June 5, 1967 and passed away Thursday, Mar. 17, 2022 at the age of 54.
Chip grew up and resided in DeQuincy most of his life. He was a friend to all and was kind and generous. He graduated from DeQuincy High School in 1985.
He is survived by his sons, Gage Marcantel and Axel Marcantel; three sisters, Mary Lou Thompson and husband Charlie, Brenda Shirley, Sandy Durbin and husband, Robert; two brothers, Rick Marcantel and wife, Lynda and Tony Marcantel and wife, Christi along with many nieces and nephews. Chip’s family loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Maxine Marcantel.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 22, and the memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 23. The visitation and funeral will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Private burial will be held at Perkins Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
