Mary “Bug” Frazier was born May 1, 1936 and passed away Friday, Mar. 4, 2022 at the age of 85.
She was a native of DeQuincy. She worked as a security Guard for at L.C.I.S. which was later known as Phelps Correctional Center and retired after 36 years. She was a member of The First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy.
She is survived by her brother, John “Johnsie” Frazier and his loving companion, Elaine Lingo; along with numerous nieces, nephews and her sister-in-law, Ruby Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Frazier and Mary White Frazier; brothers, Wilton Frazier, Verbal Frazier, Edward Frazier, Kenneth Frazier, Hershel Frazier; sisters, Robbie Lee Manuel and Lou Alice Royer.
The family received friends, from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Mar. 7, and the funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 8. The visitation and funeral were held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy, Louisiana. Rev. Carlton Jackson, Jr. officiated. Interment followed at Hyatt Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
