Jerry Howard was born Jan. 16, 1951 and passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 in Sulphur. Jerry was a 1969 graduate from Sulphur High School. Upon graduation he attended LSU and graduated in 1974. Following graduation from LSU, he pursued a teaching career which he enjoyed and he loved working with his students. Jerry enjoyed nature and loved his life on the river. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Louise “Sister” Howard of Austin, Texas and brother, Jack V. Howard of San Antonio, Texas and his special friend, Kathy Vincent of Sulphur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther “Red” Howard and Leora Howard; his brothers, Frank Howard and Cleve Howard.
Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
