On Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, Darty Dale Pickering died unexpectedly in his home of natural causes. He was 57 years old.
He is survived by his loving parents, Marilyn and Joe Anderson of DeQuincy; spouse, Sandra Vincent of DeQuincy; daughter, Amanda Pickering of Sulphur; son, Austin Pickering of DeQuincy; step daughter, Amber Trahan of Welsh; step son, Michael Trahan of Longville; along with his son-in-law, Ty Savoy of Sulphur.
Darty was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie and RC Pickering; and his cousin, RC Pickering, Jr.
Darty and Sandra spent 26 years together. They welcomed Amanda in 1998, and Austin in 1999. He worked for TSI for 18 years as a supervisor. His greatest joys in life were his kids, and his grandbabies, Chasity, Alice, Ian, and Landon. To be loved by Darty was to feel true unconditional love. A quality he got from his mom, because she showed him that same unconditional love always. The world lost a loving son, dad, and grandfather.
Join the Pickering family for a Celebration of Life Service at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at 2 p.m., with Bro. Dwayne Hyatt officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
