Tigers win against Natchitoches Central

The DeQuincy Tigers ran off with the lead late in the game in an 8-6 victory over Natchitoches Central on Friday.

The game was tied at four with the Tigers batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored one run for the Tigers.

Bats blistered as the Tigers collected six hits and Natchitoches Central tallied nine in the high-scoring game.

Traive Goutreaux took the win for the Tigers. The righthander allowed seven hits and three runs over two and a third innings, striking out two and walking one. Reese Ashworth threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Ashworth recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Tigers.

Hadley Cooley started the game for the Tigers. Cooley lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out eight

Rayden Rosalis went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits. The Tigers tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Rosalis led the way with two.
