Both teams were strong on the hill Saturday, but the Tigers defeated Anacoco 3-2. The Tigers pitchers allowed just five hits to Anacoco.
In the second inning, the Tigers got their offense started when Jacob Goodfriend singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Gunner Gearen earned the victory on the mound for the Tigers. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over five and a third innings, striking out nine.
Reese Ashworth started the game for the Tigers. Ashworth allowed three hits and one run over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.
Goodfriend went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits.
