Bradley Sowers

Bradley S. Sowers, 67, was born Nov. 8, 1953 in DeQuincy and passed away Tuesday, Mar. 2, 2021 in Spring, Texas.

Bradley married Regina Nov. 4, 1973. He worked 43 years at Union and Southern Pacific Railroads. In his retirement years, he took great pride in being a maintenance man for his church. When his boys were young he enjoyed taking them camping, riding 3-wheelers and coaching their sports teams. He loved his daughters-in-law and the families that they gave him. When the grandbabies came he loved taking them for rides on the tractor, playing guitar for them and just spending time with them. He never met a stranger and was loved by many.

Bradley is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Regina Sowers; sons, Chris Sowers and wife, Miranda, and David Sowers and wife, Bryony; grandchildren, Katelyn Sowers, Lauren Sowers, Reagan Sowers, Scout Sowers, Lincoln Sowers and Levi Sowers; father, Bobby Phil Sowers and wife, Georgia; siblings, Bobby Sowers and wife, Beverly, Barbara Lux and husband, Roger, Edie Graham and husband, Dennis; mother-in-law, Eunice Quarles; sisters-in-laws, Alice Harrison and Marsha Quarles; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie Mae Smith; and father-in-law, Rev. Emory Quarles.

Pallbearers: David Sowers, Dave Kellum, Shane Moss, Adrian Moss, Brady Sowers and Chris Sowers. Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Sowers and Danny Hodges.

The family received friends for a visitation from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday Mar. 5, and a service followed at 7 p.m. at Bethel Tabernacle, 1020 FM 1960, Houston, Texas 77073, and Rev. David Fauss officiated. A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Mar. 6, at Fielder Memorial Cemetery and Rev. Ronnie Frankens officiated.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
