Barbara B. Brown, 77, of DeQuincy, passed away on Satur-day, Jan. 16, 2021 at her residence.
She was born to her late parents, Wilfred and Mary Bergeaux on Jan. 10, 1944 in Turkey Creek. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her lov-ing husband of 61 years, Keith Brown; four sons, Evan Brown of DeQuincy, Sheldon Brown and wife Janna of Orangefield, Texas, Jason Brown of Meridian, Miss., and Regan Brown and wife Melisa of Sulphur; one sister, Carolyn Clark and husband Clyde of DeQuincy; eight grandchildren, Joey, Taelor, Meredith, Hannah, Brooke, Jack, Kylie, and Kolby; along with two great-grandchildren, Hazley and Aniston.
Barbara was preceded in death by her two brothers, Buddy Bergeaux, Jr. and Gary Bergeaux.
Services will be held at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in DeQuincy on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021 at 10 a.m., with Father Eddie Richard officiating. Visitation was held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 6 p.m.
Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednes-day, from 8 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
Services were entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
