Christine Stracener Prather, 70, of Singer died on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 in Singer. She was born in Pitkin.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 24, at Lone Star Baptist Church in Sugartown, with Rev. Johnny Elliott officiating. Interment followed at Smyrna/Cole Cemetery in Pitkin under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
She was employed by CharJer Dental Lab for 30 years as lab technician before retiring.
She was survived by her husband, Leroy Prather of Singer; children, Kathleen and Keith Suire of DeRidder, Richard and Dominique Prather of Leesville, David and Rebecca Prather, Roger Prather, and Gerald Prather, all of Singer; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and siblings Nancy Ferguson of DeRidder, Florence Haselden of Sugartown, and Gerald Stracener of Pitkin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Barney Stracener; mother, Daisy Stracener; and six siblings.
