Donald Wayne Smith, a resident of Starks was born Oct. 31, 1939 and passed away Dec. 28, 2019 at the age of 80.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Hyatt Smith; children, Alisa Smith Rainwater of Starks, Tammy Smith Phillips and husband, Michael of Vinton and Donnie Smith of Starks; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ronnie Smith of Newton, Texas and sister, Cathy Greer and husband, James of Starks.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019 at Calvary Apostolic Church in Starks. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 at Calvary Apostolic Church with Pastor Jeremy Shields officiating. Interment followed at Miller Cemetery Annex.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
