Aline Smith Spears, 92, of DeQuincy was born Feb. 9, 1927 in Starks and went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 24, in DeQuincy. She was a member of Hargrove Pentecostal Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her children, Sandy Rosalis, Porter Spears and wife Missy, Sam Spears and wife, Jody; 10 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and sister, Verna Hoosier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Spears; children, Ronald Spears, Barbara Spears and J. W. Spears; parents, N. B. and Caroline Smith; two brothers; and five sisters.
The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Hargrove Pentecostal Church. Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 27, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation resumed on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment followed at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St. DeQuincy.
