Jerrel Arthur Lambright, 70, of Starks died on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019.
He was an investigator for the Beauregard Sheriff’s Dept. and the District Attorney’s Office for many years. He then became a funeral director at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder and later went on to work for several other funeral homes in Louisiana and Texas before retirement.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Gore and Sharon of Richmond, Texas; daughters, Diane Renee Miller of Hazen, Ark., Carla Samantha Lambright of Starks; sister, Barbara Montgomery and Fred of Orange, Texas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Amae Lambright; parents, Carl and Ruth Williams Lambright; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 30, at Gambrell Baptist Church in Starks,. Bro. Rod Boyer officiated. Burial followed at Smith Cemetery in Starks under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
