Masons to host annual Squirrel Hunt Tournament

The DeQuincy Masonic Lodge #279 will host their 1st Annual Masonic and Community Squirrel Hunt Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 1, at DeQuincy Railroad Museum. This will be one of the Lodge’s major fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit programs for community involvement, volunteer and youth organizations.

The entry fee is $50 per person – Adult Divison – 16 yrs. and up; and $25 per person – Youth Division – under 16 years of age. You must be a legally licensed hunter and obey Louisiana hunting area rules and regulations. All vendors are welcome.

There will be booths and games for all ages. The community is welcome to come out and enjoy the fun.

Adult division will consist of a 3-person teams – two team members with shotguns. One person on team can carry a .22 rifle if they choose. The team can hunt with or without the use of dogs, but will be judged the same.

Youth Division will consist of a legally licensed adult over 18 years of age and two youth under 16 years of age. The team can hunt with or without the use of dogs, but will be judged the same.
