Kurt Brown has been named Singer High School’s Head Boys Basketball Coach for 2022-23.
Brown graduated from South Beauregard High School in 2005. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy. After he returned from the military, he went back to school at McNeese and graduated with a degree in Health & Human Performance. For the past four years, he has been an assistant boys basketball coach for Sulphur High before accepting the Singer High head coaching position.
His wife, Sarah, is also a teacher and does amazing at her job and was the main inspiration for him wanting to become an educator. The Browns have one son, Beau, 2 and one daughter, Hope, 10 months, who keep them busy but they have a lot of fun.
