Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso has announced the he will not be seeking re-election in Fall 2023.
Sheriff Mancuso began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 1984. During his early career at the Sheriff’s Office, he was assigned to several divisions including Corrections, Patrol, and Youth. Mancuso was elected as Ward 3 City Marshal in 1996 and re-elected in 2002, for his second term. In October 2003, Mancuso was elected Sheriff of Calcasieu Parish; he assumed office in July 2004. He was re-elected in 2007, 2011, and 2015 without opposition, and again after the 2019 election. Sheriff Mancuso is currently completing his 5th term.
