Carla Jean Hyatt was born Jan. 21, 1967, and passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 59.
She is survived by her children, Larissa Bass and Rocky Hyatt and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Chandler Bass, Noah Bass, and Hayden Hyatt; mother, Hilda Says; sisters, Rebecca Wright and husband Dustin, and Halla Whitworth and husband Logan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Hyatt; and father, Gene Smith.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 21, with the funeral service being held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 22, at Calvary Apostolic Church in Starks. Pastor Jeremy Shields and Rev. Karl Smith will be officiating. Interment to follow at VFW Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
