Jack Adams was born Nov. 24, 1943, and passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the age of 82.
Jack loved doing mechanic work and working on watches, always keeping his hands busy fixing and tinkering. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting and rocking on his granddaughter Shantel’s porch while enjoying a good cup of coffee. Above all else, Jack loved his family most and cherished every moment spent with them.
He is survived by his wife, Janelle Adams; children, Sissy Royer, Jack Adams Jr., Ronald Adams, Bernice Adams, and Tina Adams; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Maxine Adams; granddaughter, Shayla; brother, Ray Adams; and son-in-law, Alvin Royer.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 11, with the funeral service being held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, at Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Pastor Carlton Jackson Jr. officiated. Interment followed at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
