Larry Fisher, Jr.

Larry Fisher, Jr. was born Apr. 9, 1973, and passed away Friday, Apr. 17, 2026, at the age of 53.

Larry Earl Fisher, known to many as “Punkin,” a beautiful soul who left this world far too soon, was born on Apr. 9, 1973, in Pineville.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn DeLoach, and step-dad, Alfred DeLoach of DeQuincy; his sister, Karen “Chee Chee” Fisher-Rivas and brother-in-law Jhony Rivas of Colorado Springs; his brother, Terry “T-Boo” Holmes and Shalanda Broussard of Lake Charles; his sisters, Latonya “Turtle” Holmes of Colorado Springs and Jasmine “Tinkle Bell” DeLoach-Andrepont and brother-in-law Nevin Andrepont of Sulphur; and his partner, Sandra Terro of Sulphur; his aunts, Patricia Gaspar of Lafayette, Gloria Fisher-Batiste (wife of the late Ronald Batiste), Wanda Gail Fisher-LaCour and Anthony LaCour, and Michelle “Chelly” Fisher; and his uncle, Kenneth “Kent” Fisher and Angie Thompson, all of Alexandria.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Fisher; grandparents, Carrie Mae Jones and Curly Jones Jr.; grandparents, Joyce Fisher and George Fisher Sr.; uncles George Fisher Jr., David Fisher, and Micheal Fisher; aunt, Carol Ann Fisher; and uncle, Ronald Batiste; “Punkin” was a proud father and grandfather, survived by his daughter, Azaria “ZZ” Walters (and her three children: Kailani, Aliyana, and Kayson) of DeQuincy; his daughter, Amalya Primeaux; his sons, Corey Fisher and Dontae Fisher of Sulphur; and his son, Anthoni Adams (and his two children: Ari and Anthoni Jr.) of Alexandria.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, at Progressive Funeral Home, 2308 Broadway Ave, Alexandria. Rev. James Harris will be officiating. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories in Alexandria.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
